These are our speakers
  • Co-Founder of Fuzzy Orange, Andy is an experienced manager, coach and technologist. Working with clients such as the Scottish FA, Raileasy, DataFlexNet and the European Commission, Andy brings his experience and craft to projects both onsite with clients, and remotely at the Fuzzy Orange office in Glasgow.

  • ColdFusion / Node.js developer who works for NHS Wales. Previously known in the CFML community for creating CFTracker (CFML server monitoring), CFBackport and Github analytics (hubreports), recently writing articles for Web Designer magazine. Has only spoken once before at a conference (SotR14 - Video available) and would like to experience it all again.

  • Started off my tech career working as an intern at Hewlett Packard in the R&D department for a year during my university course. Obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronic Engineering and during the final semester got a job working for a web development company as a part time developer. I moved on to being a full time developer for them once my degree course had finished and as the company grew, so did I. I'm still working for the same company now and I'm now their Technical Director giving technical input on all new projects.

  • Mark has been programming CFML since 1996, and even though he has had forays into Perl, ASP and PHP he is still loving every line of code he has crafted with CFML. His career has concentrated on eCommerce, Content Management and Application Scalability for various well known brands in the UK market such as Jaeger, Hackett, Hobbs, Dyson, B&W, Diesel amongst others.

  • Nolan Erck is an independent consultant and instructor, providing tailored services for countries across the US and Europe. Starting in the video game industry, then advancing to web/mobile development, Nolan has worked on high profile projects for LucasArts, Maxis, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, Schools Credit Union and others. He currently co-manages the SacInteractive User Group and can often be found working on a variety of music projects in his spare time.

  • Gert was born in 1967 and lives in Switzerland since 1997. Back in the late eighties he studied astrophysics in Munich but switched to later IT as a profession and programmed for several companies in the past as a database administrator and system analyst.

  • Matt Gifford is owner and primary primate at his own development consultancy company, monkehWorks Ltd. His work primarily focuses on building mobile apps and ColdFusion development, although he's such a geek he enjoys writing in a variety of languages.

    He's a published author and presents at conferences and user groups on a variety of topics.

  • Michael is developing CFML application for more than 15 years and installed his first ColdFusion Server (4.0) from floppy discs (can be seen in several museums). He developed applications for several customers using different Framworks and techniques.

    He has been organizing the CFCamp for five years meanwhile.

  • Kai is one of the co-founders of and works as Software Solutions Architect for Ventego Creative Ltd in Wellington, New Zealand. He's also the CTO of Zen Ex Machina, a recently launched startup in the fields of digital & user experience consultancy.

  • Luis Majano is a computer engineer residing in Southern California. He was born in San Salvador, El Salvador and he is the president of Ortus Solutions, a consulting firm specializing in CFML web development, architecture, and professional open source support and services.

  • Kev McCabe Code Smith & Agile Coach Red Giraffes Ltd.

    Kev has worked with large corporations in the Finance, Media and E-commerce spaces. He's currently a freelance code smith, coach & trainer; With a passion to improve developers from the ground up in all areas of development. He also has a huge Interest in all things Agile since 2002, mainly XP, but of late Scrum & Kanban having become a Certified Scrum Master in 2012 and Accredited Kanban Practitioner in 2013 and SAFe agilist in 2015.

  • Born in 1967 Stefan discovered his love for computers at the age of 10 which consequently led to a study of Information Technologies at the TUM Munich. In parallel to his studies he lead a software company, developing the first affordable solution for electronic money transfers in Germany which was later bought by the HypoVereinsbank - now UniCredit Group.

  • Martin is CEO of netfusion.ch and specializes in hosting, especially CFML applications. He has great knowledge of the administration and operation of mail servers and knows exactly why mails sometimes do not work as desired.

  • Associate Degree as Application Developer in 1994, CFML Developer since 1996 (v 1.5), Focus on programming and databases, Self employed since 2000, Presentations since first CF-Europe in 2001

  • Alex is the Managing Director and co-founder of Pixl8 Interactive a London based digital agency specialising in Web and Intranet development. Having started programming with ColdFusion in the late 90s he progressed to training the Allaire curriculum while also forming Pixl8.

    An experienced consultant he has troubleshooted and tuned large applications for global brands. At Pixl8 he wears two hats both commercial and technical, assisting the teams in complex projects.

  • Brad has been programming ColdFusion for 12 years and has used every version of CF since 4.5. He first fell in love with ColdFusion as a way to easily connect a database to his website for dynamic pages. He enjoys configuring and performance tuning high-availability Windows and Linux ColdFusion environments as well as SQL Server.
